Benedict Teow

Benedict is a graduate of the National University of Singapore (NUS) and an associate with WTS Taxise’s international tax and international trade practice. While in NUS, he represented the NUS Law Faculty in a moot court competition on WTO Law and continues to coach subsequent NUS teams in the WTO moots.
Benedict works with both Singapore-based and international clients on a wide variety of matters, in particular those relating to indirect tax, supply chain, export controls and WTO/FTA related advisory, as well as corporate and commercial law issues.
His representative matters include:
- Advising a Fortune 500 semi-conductor equipment company on indirect tax, customs and export control issues relating to the establishment of their global manufacturing facility and global principal entity in an ASEAN country.
- Advising one of the world’s largest FinTech company on export control issues in Singapore and various countries in the Asia Pacific region.
- Advising a Singapore-based provider of intermediate bulk containers on customs valuation issues across the Asia Pacific region.
- Advising a Scandinavian apparel company on their Asia Pacific distribution hub structure.
- Assisting a governmental body with the monitoring and implementation of obligations under one of Singapore’s most comprehensive Free Trade Agreements.
