Jack graduated in law with first-class honours from King’s College London and holds a Master of Laws in International and Comparative Law from the National University of Singapore (NUS). While in school, he represented NUS to win the Asia round of a WTO law moot court competition, where he also received a best speaker award.
He works on a range of matters with the firm’s international tax, international trade and customs, and private client practices, including assisting with tax structuring and planning, supply chain advisory, and corporate and commercial law matters.
His representative matters include:
- Advising on Singapore export / strategic goods control advisory matters, including classification.
- Assisting on U.S.-Asia export control advisory matters in respect of controlled technologies.
- Advising a multinational fintech company on Singapore’s sanctions regime on Russia.
- Obtaining a favourable customs classification ruling for a novel biomedical implant product.
- Advising on customs rules for import / export, such as advising a European pharmaceuticals company on the cross-border delivery of health products.
- Representing a company respond to Singapore tax authority queries concerning tax treaty applications in respect of an intra-group shared services arrangement.
- APAC supply chain optimisation for a U.S. semiconductor equipment company.
- Preparing transfer pricing documentation and benchmarking reports for Singaporean and multi-national companies.
